The Buddy Network is not a continuation of previous services, but a lighter-touch support designed to help young people maintain progress and feel supported in everyday life.
All referrals are carefully reviewed to ensure the service is the right fit. If a young person’s needs require a higher level of support, we will help signpost them to more appropriate services.
Once a referral is accepted, the Buddy Network Coordinator will match the young person with a trained Buddy and arrange an initial three-way meeting to begin building that supportive relationship.
The Buddy Network is available to young people aged 14–19 across North Yorkshire (up to 25 for those with additional needs).
