Responsibilities: My role involves mentoring young people in local schools, providing support and nurture and helping them to make positive, safe choices. I also support NYY’s delivery on a project which aims to test a model of trauma-informed intervention for children and young people who are part of the Change Direction scheme. This involves promoting best practice both within the organisation, and with external partners.
Favourite part of your job: I love supporting young people to understand how amazing and unique they are and helping them to use this to move forwards positively with their lives.
Hobbies/Interest: When I’m not at work, you will find me in my ‘happy place’ down in my garden, growing and planting! I also enjoy exploring new places with my family and I like to go and see my favourite bands, especially in the sunshine!
