Responsibilities: As part of the Trailblazer project, I will be working as a youth mentor in a local secondary school. I will be working with an identified cohort of young people, and overall, the aim of the project is to provide youth mentoring and enrichment activities that will help build confidence and skills, and will also support their progression into further education, employment or training.
Favourite part of your job: I enjoy building relationships with young people and becoming an additional adult that is available to offer help and support as needed. I find it really rewarding that young people are choosing to work with us on a voluntary basis and feel privileged to become part of their journey.
Hobbies/Interest: I did not like PE lessons when I was at school, but I have become more sporty as I’ve got older, and now regularly enjoy different activities including running, swimming, cycling and yoga. I also enjoy watching live music, reading or just finding a new box set to watch on TV - any recommendations are always welcome!
