Over the past three years the Bright Sparks have been instrumental in planning, facilitating and delivering the activities on the Ignite Yorkshire Programme. We even changed the lead workers job title from Co-Ordinator to Facilitator such was the young people’s say and influence.
When that project comes to an end in Dec 2021, the Bright Sparks have been invited to become the founder members of the NYY Youth Board. This board will work in consultation with NYY team members and the Governing Board of Trustees. Working primarily with the Learning and Heritage Facilitator they will help to shape the future of NYY and CLAC and make sure that young people’s voice is heard : Loud and Clear.
The Representatives from Bright Sparks youth board will also invite young people from other influential groups and areas to become part of the overall board such as the Young Carers, LGBT+ groups and volunteer youth groups across the county in order to make sure that NYY listens, is proactive and not tokenistic when working with the young people of our community.
